Phonumi for schools
One shared sequence. Every small group in step.
Give K–2 teachers and interventionists a common taught-sounds sequence, reusable lesson packs and clear privacy answers, starting with a small pilot team in one building.
A school rollout, step by step
Pilot team
Three to five teachers in one building use Phonumi for real lessons.
Shared foundations
One versioned sequence and heart-word list, and a library of approved packs.
Building license
Pooled packs and roles, quoted for your building.
What school teams get
Shared where it helps. Private where it matters.
Every feature below is labelled honestly: live in the pilot, planned, or on the roadmap.
Shared sequence
Map Phonumi to the order your building teaches sounds. Every pack names the rules version it was checked against.
Team library
Approved packs colleagues can find, reuse and adapt. Nothing is shared until a teacher chooses to.
Roles and invitations
Invite teachers, assign admins and remove access when staff move on. Nobody can grant themselves a role.
Quotes and invoices
Building licenses with quotes, invoices and purchase orders your office can process.
Rostering and SSO
District sign-in and roster sync, built when partner schools need them.
Review documents
Data-processing terms and accessibility notes for your privacy and procurement reviews.
For your privacy review
Short answers to the questions your district will ask.
Phonumi is designed so student data never has to enter it. Groups are skill profiles, not class lists.
Full details in the Trust Center →- No student accounts. Teachers print or share; students never sign in.
- No student names, voices or assessment data are collected.
- Private by default. Sharing is a deliberate, revocable choice.
- No ads, no model training on your materials.
- Separated by organization in the database, not just in the interface.
- Admin access is limited to named staff, and admin sign-ins and changes are logged.
Questions
What school leaders ask first
Does Phonumi follow our phonics program?
Phonumi uses its own original sequence and can be mapped to the order your building teaches. We don't copy publishers' texts or imply endorsement, and we review usage rights before mapping to a commercial program.
Do students log in?
No. Teachers create, approve and print materials. Students read the printed pages or a view the teacher chooses to share.
Is there evidence it improves reading outcomes?
Not yet, and we won't claim it until it has been measured properly. In the pilot we measure teacher prep time, word-check accuracy and repeat use, and we'll publish what we find.
What does a building license cost?
Building licenses are quoted for teams of three or more teachers. Tell us about your building and we'll send a quote.
Bring Phonumi to your building
Start with a pilot team of three to five teachers.
We'll set up your sequence and heart words with you, then agree together on what a successful pilot looks like.
